I truly believe that when older people reside in senior living, they enhance the quality of their lives and enjoy their later years. Prior to working in the senior living industry, I was in the hospitality industry and that is where I learned how passionate I am about serving people. I’m grateful to be a leader at Summerfield of Fresno, where we have an incredibly committed team of very caring individuals. Three things I will always work hard on are good communication, always do the right thing, and ensuring the safety of our residents.

I am the Business Office Manager; I have been with Summerfield of Fresno for 11 years. I enjoy working at Summerfield and being around our residents and their families. I am here to serve each family individually, just as we offer customized care for our residents, I thrive on customizing my customer service to serve each you uniquely.

Theresa M Barajas
I have Been in senior living industry for over 15 years and as the Chef here at Summerfield of Fresno Community for 14 years. My passion has always been quality food growing up on a farm. I was in the restaurant industry for 15 years and when my grandfather was diagnosed with dimension at the age of 92 and passed within the year I was drawn to senior living and specifically memory care. Here I get to fulfill my dream of working with food and cooking for those with memory impairment. Food is a huge part of our day to day here at the community and I want to make sure they are being served the best! Summerfield of Fresno has allowed me to learn when you love what you do it’s no longer just a job, it’s a passion.
Maintenance Director
Vance Contrestano
After getting out of the US Army I utilized the GI Bill to pay for HVAC school. Primarily doing HVAC for two years I ventured off into apartment maintenance. Learning multiple skills working with my hands, I eventually became a Maintenance Supervisor for multiple complexes in the central valley. Wanting a smaller and more personal home feel I took the position of the Maintenance Director at Summerfield in 2017.Working in memory care was a change of pace for me, but a good change. There is never a dull moment here at Summerfield Fresno. I thrive in knowing there is always something to improve at the property to help our residents live in a clean and homelike environment.

I have 15 years of experience in Senior Living. I found my passion in serving the elderly when i was just 8 years old volunteering at a Skilled Nursing community. I enjoy connecting with each person I encounter and finding unique ways to make a difference in their lives! I thrive on serving our residents, and providing them with options, purpose, and a thriving lifestyle.
